Since the dawn of mankind mankind has manipulated the Power of magic, largely in the form of magical effects known as Spells, incantations or even Hexs.

With the Reckoning these Spells that often took days if not weeks to perform could now be performed in moments, this Chapter details these effects.

Be warned however Knowledge invariably has a Price.

Voodoo Spells.

The Cutting Cloud.

Trait: Spirit.
TN:   9.  
Speed: 30 Minutes.
Duration: 1 Round/Spell Level.
Range: 5 Feet/Spell Level.

Effect: The Darkest of Voodoo Magic The Cutting Cloud is reserved for the most fearsome of foes or hated of enemies.  the Spell creates a swirling black Cloud that slashes its victims to shreds.

the Voodooist must prepare a Conjur Bag containing Iron Filings, Glass, water left by a storm and a drop of her own blood, once prepared the bag can be kept for the Voodooists Spell Level in days before use.  When used the bag is thrown at the target, upon impact the Cloud erupts from the bag and spreads to affect a number of targets equal to the voodooists Spell Level, inflicting 1D6 Damage per Spell level plus 1D6 per Raise.

Victims of the Cloud often appear to have been skinned alive, the Spell requires Blood and in particular wounding, should its initial target flee or fend off the Cloud it will seek the next best target, whether this is the Caster or her companions.

Speed: 2 Hours.
Duration: Concentration.
Range: Touch.

Effect: The Voodooist can slough off his own skin (Terror Check TN 5 to witness this) and reveal beneath the form of an animal.  This can be any creature but the Caster must possess a peice of skin, hair or teeth from said animal.  The sample is coated in hot wax and swallowed, over the next 2 hours the Casters skin begins to fall away in the same way as a serpents, to be replaced with the form of the desired animal.

The Voodooists Level dictatates the size of animal that can be assumed, upon transformation the Voodooist has the animals abilities and physical aptitudes while retaining her mental aptitudes.
