THOMAS LEWTAS of POULTON

THOMAS LEWTAS was born c 1704 Over Wyre and died in Poulton in 1774

The most likely parents for Thomas Lewtas who became a breadbaker in Poulton are John Lewtas and Jennet Anyon who married at St Michael's on 23rd November 1686

Thomas inherited the business from his father while George's  father John, Thomas's  elder brother, was the landlord of the Plough in 1792.  Thomas is recorded in Baines' 1825 Directory as a Baker & Flour Dealer in Sheaf Street, with George as a joiner in Breck Street.
