Hi
Jane, loved the allusions to architectural thresholds as metaphors. What
are they metaphors for though? How does 'home' mediate itself to a broader
world? What are the differences between the freshness of new installation,
design, plans and so forth and those aspects we inhabit further down the
line, once the lived-in qualities and familiarities begin to tarnish the
shopping thrills? I'm really interested in gateway and doorstep rhetorics
btw, hence my readiness to follow some of your pungent leads. Just wondering
what these anxieties are about and wanting to explore how they might intereact
with desires, promises, excitements?
love and love cris
