16.05.00 : studio with turning pages

0 0 Tue. 16th May

Dear All,
It is my dream to design and build a studio. I feel most alive when working (putting things together--thoughts, metal, wood, words, lines, smudges, spaces). When I told my family (two married children with three small ones) that I would build it on a lake, they all immediately wanted a bed room. So, how to accommodate these occasional visitors?
My current thought is to have suspended beds(accessible by ladders) covered by layers of various fabrics, fabrications. (Metal mesh and new hybrid fabrics are a part of my current research). These would be like constructed noctilucent clouds that could be lighted in various ways and serve as a source of indirect light for the studio.
I would like to have text as a part of this plan but don't want the text to be static.

There must be the possibility of turning the page.

Any ideas?

Pat
