In Place of the Page is a project created by Brigid Mc Leer, exploring ideas of place and belonging. 'Place' is thought of in very broad terms - as socio-geographical locatedness or dislocatedness, as well as a term used to describe activites and relationships that establish a sense of belonging which may not be connected to a particular physical location; such as the kind of place one finds in close relationships with other people, engaging in creative practice, reading, walking, certain hobbies and sports, a good conversation, dreams etc.
