B.R.A.M.E – Blue Ribbon for the Awareness of M.E. are a group whose aims are to support sufferers and their families, and who promote international awareness of M.E.

CFS News is an US site full of the latest news, information and research on all things ME/CFS related. Well worth using.

Sutton ME Support Group - a group for advice, and support for Sutton and surrounding members (London)

The CoCure list, "Co-operate and Communicate for a Cure", is an information exchange point for medical/clinical, political, patient groups, as well as other organizations/institutions in all things ME as well as overlapping illnesses

ChronicIllNet is a site devoted to all chronic illnesses such as cancer, MS as well as CFS/ME

David Axford’s wonderfully laid out and informative site has links to many national and international resources on ME.

The Gloucester City Group is a localised support group, they also carry a comprehensive library of books and tapes on ME/CFS.

Disability Now are the UK's leading disability publication, and contains massive amounts of archived disability information and many links to other charities

Ted Shaw’s Aussie-based homepage has many scientific papers and links, as well as massive amounts of info on the ‘Sydney Conference’ on CFS/ME.

MPWC (Medical Professionals/Persons with CFIDS) as the title shows, is a rather unique group based in the USA for medical workers. Latest news and links are included on this site, as well as a Physician’s phamphlet for kids with CFIDS(ME) complete with a bibliography. Hyperlink shown is for their very interesting & informative current newsletter.

The Northern Rivers ME/CFS/FM Support Association’ is another Aussie-based site which caters for PWC in the New South Wales & Queensland areas. Their newsletter goes out Australia-wide and internationally,and have a lovely ‘Forget-Me-Not’ page to remember PWC’s who are sadly no longer with us due to CFS/ME complications.

Leeds & District ME Group offer support, advice and someone to chat to for sufferers and carers in their area.

M. E. BBS Information Mailing Service is a service for people who don’t have access to Internet or Fidonet. It provides a monthly postal compilation of all things ME/CFS found on various networks, and there is also a vast reference library of current and past research papers and information.

AYME is a UK based group aimed at supporting PWC’s under 25 years old.

R.E.S.C.I.N.D. is a US group fighting for a change of name to something which better describes our illness, and lobbies for more goverment research & support.

Newsgroups are a great way of finding info and talking to other web users – its like everyone’s in the same room talking to each other! I recommend that you look at

Other Resources

Searching the internet can be a time consuming and costly (for the Uk anyway!) business. To take the strain out of this, WebFerret can be used to access multiple search engines for you and corellate the information for you all seamlessly. Click on the hyperlink for a free download

www.filez.com is a superb way of searching for files when you know the name - eg if you were downloading a file, and it was taking a long time, try www.filez.com for the file, there maybe another server with that particular file on that is faster.

Clipart - try Xoom ( you need to register here to use them), or AppleCity Mall. Both have a vast, good library.
