Recreating colourful music from the Twelfth Century to the Fourteenth Century from across Europe, this accomplished, scholarly and highly entertaining ensemble was formed in 1991 by Dr. Michael Posch, Head of the Early Music Faculty of the Vienna University Conservatoire.
"It was a pensive, gripping, instructive and passionate event which in the end roused the listeners to standing ovations and multiple encores from the Ensemble. A fresh, at times impudent, at times thoughtful, music came from the stage, thrilling each listener. The enthusiasm was soon boundless. A great achievement of a highly professional Ensemble, which in all matters, musicological, historical, and also the ability to enthuse the large audience, was able to deliver something outstanding!".

"Led by the acutely thoughtful and calmly virtuosic Bujor Prelipcean, the Voces Quartet plays with the telepathy and bravura of long and successful partnership....a calm assertion of musical authority .... the parts interlocked like a gleaming clock mechanism".
