CHEAM TOWN FC - CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Introduction

A code of conduct has been drawn up for Cheam Town FC so that all club members and their families are fully aware of the required standard of behaviour. Failure to observe the code set down below could lead to either suspension or expulsion from the club.

Code of Conduct for Parents/Spectators

1. Set a good example to the players because your conduct and attitude is likely to be copied by them.

2. Never shout abuse at the Referee or Club Assistant Referees and others involved in the game.

3. Never use offensive, foul or abusive language.

4. Never be drawn into argument or dispute with other spectators, players or match officials.

5. Never take the law into your own hands, but rather let the Referee and/or Team Manager deal with any problems which may arise.

6. Never enter the field of play during a game without the permission of the Referee.

7. Never engage in fighting or other unsocial behaviour.

8. Encourage fair play and sporting behaviour, and be ready to acknowledge the success of the opposition as well as that of your own club.

Code of Conduct for Players

1. Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina.

2. Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game.

3. Avoid all forms of gamesmanship and time-wasting.

5. Make every effort to be consistent with fair play and the Laws of the Game.

6. Never use offensive, foul or abusive language.

7. Know and abide by the Laws, rules and spirit of the game, and the competition rules.

8. Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally.

9. Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game.

10. Avoid violence and rough play, and help injured opponents.

11. Show due respect to the Referee and Club Assistant Referees and accept their decisions without protest. 

12. Show due respect towards the Team Officials and spectators of the opposition.

13. Abide by the instructions of the Team Officials, provided they do not contradict the spirit of this Code.

Failure to observe the Code of Conduct could lead to expulsion from the club
