Player of the season in 2000/1. Daniel played above his age group with Haydons Hornets in the Links Association before gaining experience in competitive football with Hampton Youth, Surrey Rangers, Motspur Park and Merton Vultures.

Jamie joined Merton from Morden Little League football at the end of season 2000-1. He made an immediate impact as a creative midfielder, and has an eye for goal. Jamie holds the club record for most goals in a match with six against Aldershot Town in the season 2001/2. A very skilful player with excellent ball skills and contributes further by his ability to score goals from midfield. An exceptionally good header of the ball who is dangerous at set pieces. Jamie takes the penalties for Merton, and also plays in midfield for Raynes Park High School. Jamie has turned in a large number of fine performances, and remains the team's most skilful player.

NICHOLAS HOLLEY  (24 appearances - 12 goals)

Nick made his debut for Merton against Hook in January 2003 and quickly established himself as first-choice left winger. A strong player with a high workrate and a powerful shot, especially from free kicks. Nick started his playing career in the Mitcham Lavender League as a left winger with the "Monarchs". In the two seasons spent at this level, Nick finished as top scorer. Nick then joined Tooting & Mitcham for one season in the Tandridge League, narrowly losing out on a championship medal when the team finished a close 3rd. Throughout this time he played regularly for his school team, and also attended advanced training courses at Wimbledon. Nick was also one of a select few chosen to attend an Arsenal training scheme for one year. He then took a complete break from football for ten months, retiring to his bedroom to become an expert computer-game player. Nick has been an Arsenal supporter and a bit-part Wimbledon FC supporter, but as Wimbledon FC effectively don't exist any more he has given up on them. His other favourite teams are Barcelona, Real Madrid and AS Roma. Nick sustained an injury prior to Season 2003-4 and will probably be out of action until the new year.
