The Yangtze Incident.
In April 1949 HMS Amethyst, HMS Consort, HMS London and HMS Black Swan were involved in the Yangtze Incident. A report of the "Incident" from the London's view point can be found in the Commission Book.
This year (1999) is the 50th Anniversary of the Yangtze
Incident and the Four Ships Association held a Commemoration in Plymouth on
the 24th - 25th April.
