The line seen here, not unusual in Germany, is used both by lightweight diesel units
like these, and electric locomotives working regional
passenger trains, and the gradient presents no problem
to modern motive power.
A more attractive structure would be essential for a
city centre location and the cross Bradford line could be
designed as an attractive feature in its own right, with pedestrian
circulation areas beneath, or designed into the proposed
Broadway Development so as to be inconspicuous.
