1938 MV CHARLES PLUMIER, 4504 tons, built at Port de Bouc, Provence, for the French Government.
1938 - 1939 MV CHARLES PLUMIER, a French Line fruit-carrier, managed by Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (The French Line) and operated by Compagnie Générale d'Armements Maritimes (CGAM).
Note : Compagnie Générale Transatlantique later became Compagnie Générale Maritime (CGM) and this company is still trading in 2005 as CMA CGM.
1939 - 1940 Requisitioned for duty in the French Navy as MV CHARLES PLUMIER, Armed Merchant Cruiser (X-11).
1940 MV CHARLES PLUMIER briefly resumed her career as a French Line fruit-carrier.
[ 1940 MV CHARLES PLUMIER was 'appropriated' by the Royal Navy and saw service as a Royal Navy vessel between 1942 and 1945 under the name HMS LARGS. The ship was handed back to the French at the end of 1945. ]
1946 - 1964 French Line MV CHARLES PLUMIER, passenger and general cargo ship.

1964 - 1968 MV PLEIAS, Greek cruise ship.
1968 (September) - the ship was broken-up.
