DRIVERS

Drivers must be aged between 25 and 70 years of age, and have held a full current driving licence for 24 months or more. The licence must be free of endorsements ( except for minor speeding or parking offences ) and must be produced at the time of vehicle collection along with one other form of identification. e.g. Credit card, Passport, council or utility bill etc. We reserve the right to cancel the hire, if at the commencement of hire, nominated drivers licences are invalid or not in accordance with the conditions. In these circumstances all monies paid by the hirer, will be forfeited to the Company. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the hirer receives the vehicle they booked, should any unforeseen damage or fault occur, and it is not possible for us to restore the vehicle to it’s full roadworthy condition, then we reserve the right to offer a substitute vehicle, or to return any payments made by the hirer, and cancel the hire if this is deemed necessary.

RESERVATIONS - *YOU CAN NOW PAY BY CREDIT CARD*

Please complete the attached booking form and return, together with a deposit of £200. A booking confirmation letter will be sent to you, along with an invoice for the remaining balance, which is payable 28 days prior to hire commencement. Cheques must clear before the vehicle leaves the premises.

VEHICLE COLLECTION & RETURN

The minimum hire period is one week. The vehicle may be collected from 4pm on Saturday, and must be returned no later than 10am the following Saturday. There will be a penalty charge for vehicles that are returned late.
Hire periods can sometimes be adjusted by prior arrangement in low/winter seasons to suit hirer’s requirements.Transfers:
Perth/Dundee £20 Rtn.Edi//Rosyth Ferry £130 rtn.
Gla./A/deen £160 Prestwick £190 rtn. All prices per party (1-6), larger parties price on request.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit of £400 in cash will be payable on the day of collection. The security deposit will be refunded, subject to the vehicle being returned in a clean, undamaged and complete condition, either in cash on the day of hire termination, or by cheque within 7 days.
The vehicle will be inspected.

A charge of £40 will be made if the toilet is not returned clean and empty.

A full tank of fuel is supplied on hire commencement. Fuel used will be deducted from the security deposit on return.

INSURANCE

The vehicle is comprehensively insured, however the hirer is responsible for the insurance excess of £400 by way of security deposit. In the event of damage to the vehicle during the hire period, the security deposit will not be refunded. This includes loss of equipment, damage to tyres, windscreen breakage and loss of roof lights. If the hirer is found to have damaged the vehicle by their own negligence. i.e. no other vehicles or persons involved, then the Company reserves the right to pass on the full amount of it’s insurers excess in force at the time. The Company’s insurance excess currently stands at £400.

Personal Property
The hirer’s personal property is not covered by the Company’s insurance.( It is strongly recommended that Hirers take out personal travel and cancellation insurance.)

Continental Hire
A surcharge will be added for Continental Hire to meet the costs of additional insurance. The Company will obtain Green Card and Spanish Bail Bond when required.(£16 at time of printing.)

Foreign Driving Licence
Drivers who hold only a Foreign National Driving Licence will incur a higher insurance/excess charge.(£500) OR €750

BREAKDOWN / ACCIDENT

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT HIRER`S HAVE PERSONAL RAC OR AA RECOVERY. FOR EUROPE THIS IS COMPULSORY. All breakdowns and accidents should be reported to us immediately, for further instruction.
Repairs must first be authorised by the Company, and VAT receipts retained in order for the Company to reimburse the cost. An accident report form must be completed and returned to us on termination of hire.

MILEAGE

Unlimited Mileage

FUEL/OIL/TYRES

The hirer is required to regularly check oil, water and tyre pressure levels during the hire period. The hirer is also responsible for repair of punctures and damaged tyres.

GAS

The vehicle is supplied with 2 (Two) bottles of gas.
If extra gas is required it is at the hirer’s expense.
No refund will be given.

PETS

Pets are permitted in CERTAIN VEHICLES ONLY by prior agreement at the Company’s discretion.See Q & A.

LIABILITY

The hirer is liable for all expenses and costs incurred through violation of traffic laws or regulations, and for the Company’s security deposit ( insurance excess ) in the event of an accident. In the event of an accident not due to the hirers negligence, which deprives the hirer of use of the vehicle, the Company’s liability is limited to refund of hire charge for any days lost.

LATE RETURNS

Your co-operation in returning the vehicle at the arranged time and date is essential in order that the vehicle is ready for the next hirer. Failure to return at the specified time could mean that the vehicle is not insured after which time the hirer is entirely responsible for accidental damage, injury or losses. The driver will also be responsible for driving while uninsured and will be liable to prosecution under the Road Traffic Acts. Failure to return at the correct time will also incur a surcharge of £100 plus the daily hire rate.

FREE CAR PARKING

Clients are welcome to leave their vehicle, at the Company’s Premises during the hire period. All vehicles are left at the owners risk.

CANCELLATIONS

Should a hirer wish to cancel,any monies already paid will not be refunded unless the Motorhome can be re-hired at the same rate.
