Thomas Teeling Tree e-mail subject doesn't work with pegasus...

    • Help!We are looking for the origins of this TEELING family who lived between 1854 (maybe earlier) and 1908 in Athgaine Great on the Charlesfort Estate (owned by the Tisdall family) near Kells, County Meath, Ireland . Thomas's occupation was a Herd between 1865 and 1874 but we don't know where or when he died. (see FRENCH Family Tree). He, his wife Mary and a couple of their children appear in the Vital Records. He appears in the Griffiths Valuation of Athgaine Great in 1854 as the occupier of a modest house and office valued at £1 5s 0d.

    We haven't been able to trace Thomas's grandchildren, Philip and John Christopher TEELING. They did not appear to marry or die in England before 1970 and may have emigrated. Philip Teeling was evidently alive in 1956. We don't know what became of all of Thomas's children. There may well have been 17! Peter and Jane were last heard of in Ireland, John emigrated with two children to Philadelphia and Bridget moved to England where she married Frederick Henry Travers.

    Unfortunately, we have so far found no connection between these TEELINGs and those in the Hay TEELING tree, although one might expect a connection with the TEELINGs of Mullagha (Thomas TELYNG to Father TEELING).
