Glenys was born in Manchester and has two sons.
She trained at Stockport School of Nursing and worked at Stepping Hill Hospital before leaving to have a family. She had a short career in Tupperware - first as a dealer and then as a manager, and was a clinic nurse for 10 years in Stockport. For 7 years she worked for a local charity, with patients, volunteers and staff, and was also involved in fundraising.
Glenys's hobbies - reading, arts and crafts, and meeting people. She was ordained a deacon in 2006 and is an assistant curate at Christ with All Saints, Heaton Norris.
