Two New Brochures
'Media Awareness for Families' and 'Drugs Awareness for the Family' have been devised
to accompany the MU resource packs 'Switches On!' and 'Up to Speed', or they can be used
by themselves.
'Media Awareness for Families' is to help parents and carers to consider the role and
impact the media has on family life. In the age of wall-to-wall media, with 24-hour
interactive TV, Satellite, Cable, Digital, Internet chat rooms and radio phone-ins, it is
important that parents, grandparents and others with responsibility for children
understand more about how they use and might be influenced by the media.
In the 'Drugs Awareness for the Family' brochure you will find information for parents
and other carers that will help them as their children grow up and face new challenges.
A central part of the Christian faith concerns the need to care for others and to look
after God's creation, which includes mind, body and spirit. The Church should play a
vital role in dealing with drugs issues with positive prevention at the forefront.
Both these new brochures and the packs can be obtained from your Marketing reps.
We sell an extensive range of cards, diaries, calendars, books and gifts. There are
cards for almost every occasion with a choice of Christian text or conventional
greeting. All our merchandise is of excellent quality and competitively priced.
Availability is through Diocesan and Deanery Literature Representatives.
