Album Review
Neme Wasi (The Arrival Of The Four).
Japanese for "preparation for an event, Neme Wasi is a wholly immaculate trinity of
prog-fusion with Bill Bruford leanings which ends with a psychedelic-space-dub crescendo.
"Behold the Wicker Lobster!"

Moon (including Breathing in/F of F).
Turtle Om write another 20+ minute opus with Yes/Genesis stylings.
Featuring the delicious talents of the
Fylingdale Early Warning Male-Voice Choir
on fine form yet again and conducted by his grace, the Duke of Botcheston.
"Take it to the stars"

Deadmen On A Cosmic Wave.
(Or to give it it's full title "Deadmen
Rising On A Cosmic Wave") commences
with the recital of an ancient poem (said to be carved in drift wood
by the sea intself) giving way to a haunting
guitar led introduction, thus evoking the spirits of our long demised oceanic explorers. Let us don our aqua-lungs and rubber siuts as we plummet head first into unadulterated 7/8 progrockery and beyond! A slight extension takes the bands guest guitarist hero, His Devine Grace BBC Kipperfish, into a psychedelic frenzy of intense manitude. Then with the brief and inaudible cry of the salmon, it is all over, alas to soon.

Observation From A Cliff Top (Unobserved).
Turtle Om Touch Base! Showing their space-rock heritage in this heads-down cosmic pomp-romp.
Nick and Simon singing in close harmony throughout, the whole track is reminiscent of
"live Chronicles" period Hawkwind.
You can almost smell that patchouli oil!

Dereks' Invasion Of Earth (Part 3).
The band tell me, this one of all the tracks on their new album was the toughie.
Strange time signatures, fractured rhythms, difficult melody lines, this has 'em all!
It also proved a nightmare to mix but well worth the effort.

The Dance Of The Undine.
Turtle Om do ambient. "Jan Akkerman" sounding guitar into, drifting harmonies,
minimalist tablas, and "Terry Riley" organ section, served on a bed of post-pathfinder
fretless bass exploration.

The Festival Of Fish (Is Rising).
The title track transforms from funky rock through neo-classical and
free jazz back into the groovy finale without taking itself too seriously.
Gong meet Chopin and have a fight with Django Bates and his collection of waterfowl.

Hey There! Lets Evolve.
A Heart-warming end to the album. This track evolves from quiet understatement
to full on guitar, piano, organ, and mellotrons so thick you could get out and walk on them.
Watch out for the trick in the tale. (Sic).
