12th September 1998. Turtle Om are back in the studio to record their third album
"Dancers At The End Of Time."
The concept is to write three long instrumental pieces inspired by the trilogy of novels written by Michael Moorcock,
"An Alien Heat"          "The Hollow Land"
and "The End Of All Songs"
Mr. Moorcock has given his blessing to the band via e-mail so it's all systems go. "We plan to get a lot of our friends in on this project, so expect more diverse arrangements than on our previous releases". The album should be finished by Christmas.

Meanwhile Nick is busy writing material for his own solo project,
"The Nick Holmes Mission Statement"
due for release early in 1999. Whatever the musical content maybe be nobody knows, he's playing this one close to his chest. More news on this in his own time.
Yet another solo project is in the pipeline. This time from Simon Styring
who has started recording an album of experimental music for treated electric guitar. "The project's coming together just fine. Working with the Doug McClure Mobile Studio is great and means I can do bits and bobs whenever I get the juice. The hardest job is going to be thinking of a title. Maybe just "Music for Treated Guitar".
24th April 1999. Simon played a gig with local band
"Shapeshifter"
an improvised music collective fronted by poet Maureen Anderson. "It was a cosmic experience I hope to repeat in the near future."
Simon has been quite a busy boy this year managing to put in two appearances on the festival circuit. "Off The Tracks" and "Aston Flanville".
A capela progateers have had a little set-back whilts recording their debut
album "Voxtrot", a tribute to Genesis. Unfortunately
"The Doug McClure Recording Studo" has been double booked with Turtle Om. (See above) However most of the album has taken shape so is still on schedule for released sometime in 1999.
