LIFE Threads
is inspired
by the Threadmill artists’ personal journeys through life. Included in
this exhibition is new work influenced by the history of Nantwich,
particularly the manufacture of shoes here.
The exhibition, which runs
until December 12, showcases the textile
art work of
Threadmill, a group of 16 textile artists based mostly in Cheshire,
who explore the
diversity and richness of materials to create contemporary textile and
mixed media art.
Much of
the work is for sale - providing an excellent opportunity to shop
for unique Christmas gifts.
Pictures: Above left, Somewhere over the
Rainbow, Bluebirds Fly and The Dreams that You Dare to Dream. Both are by Jenny Waterson.
Right: Gorgeous Grandpa - "I'm only here for the beer", a needle-felted
character by Carol Stow.
