Wilbraham Court

IN January 2006, a new development opened on the site from where the salt ship had been saved. Wilbraham Court - which had been delayed by the excavation of the ship - was finally on the market.

The Georgian-style homes, comprising nine apartments and eight mews houses, stand on the site (Second Wood Street) where more modest homes had previously stood. The selling price for homes in the new development was £239,500 or £249,500.

The Schofield Brothers - previously mentioned on the Salt Ship page - were able to see the development, next to their other property, Curshaw's at The Cat, about to bring residents back to the area.

If you fancy being one of those residents, contact the estate agents, Baker, Wynne and Wilson, in Pepper Street, Nantwich.

The pictures below show how the site looked in February 2006.

The view of the new development  as seen from the Welsh Row end of Second Wood Street. The archway just behind the black car is about where the saltship had lain buried.
