Every arrow hole is marked with a pen stroke. When an archer has a 'bouncer' or a 'pass through' the judge can find the place where the arrow hit by there being a hole in the target face that is not marked. Upon getting a bouncer the archer imediately informs the judge who will check the target with that competitor.
Archers call out the scores of their own arrows while another writes them down. It is the responsibilty of the competitor to check that their scores have been recorded and added up correctly.
At the end of the day there are medals to win. But if the score was not the best then there is always the raffle to look forward to. Here the top prize in the raffle is a Browning bow - worth a bit!
The 'Lady Paramount' presents medals to the winners of the day. There were individual and club team awards. Thanks are given to all and everyone leaves with a promise to come back and do better next year.
