We all enjoyed this workshop and soon set to making the buttons, beads
and brooches after Helen had shown us the basics. I'm sure there will be more pics on the results.

Aims of the Workshop
Felt in all its forms is lovely, but sometimes a piece could benefit from
an extra bit of embellishment, fringe or stitching. In this workshop you will
experiment with some basic beading techniques, bead fringe and embroidery stitches
to add extra dimension to your felt pieces.
Suitable for beginners to beadwork and embroidery
Requirements;
Usual sewing equipment including sharp scissors
A piece of felt that you have made:
It doesn’t have to be large and can even be small scraps or off cuts from previous projects.
Bring a piece that you feel could benefit from “Something extra“ I will have some small piece as well.
Beading needles or size 11 or 12 sharps
Nymo bead thread or similar
Selection of size 11 0r 12 and 9 seed beads, bugles, as well as a variety of what you have on hand.
It can be a variety of colours or a chosen colour way to tone or contrast with your felt.
Small bits of lace, buttons, ribbons and sequins as well as anything else you may have that is interesting.
Don’t buy anything just bring what you have.
Magnifying glass and light if you require it.
Any interesting embroidery threads you have.
A sales box will be available for supplies to be purchased.
