Welcome to the SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY homepage.
The Society was founded in 1900.
A letter written to the "British Journal of Photography", dated
Nov.1900
was as follows:
To the Editor.
Yesterday
evening a new Photographic Society was inaugurated
to be called Southend-on-Sea Photographic Society.
Mr. Bullivant, Principal of the Ascham College, Westcliff-on-Sea
kindly placed a room at the disposal of the members until more suitable
accomodation can be found. As there was no organisation of the kind in
this district it should be a success - Edward Dunmore Nov. 2nd.1900.
Now we meet every Friday from 7.30-10pm
during Septempber to Mid-May at:
Guild
Hall,
Hill Road,
Prittlewell,
Southend-on-Sea.
