The Friends of Newnham School, known as FONS, is a fund-raising organisation for Newnham School. The main aim of FONS is to raise money to enable the school to provide extra facilities to enhance the children's education. While Newnham School receives their finances from the Local Authority, the funds raised by FONS provide the school with the 'extra's' that the Local Authority budget can't stretch to. I encourage you to support the school and FONS by coming along to the fund raising events. Not only will it help raise funds, but the events are always good fun and are a great way to get to know other parents and villagers. All parents of children attending the school are automatically members.
