THANK YOU
I would like to thank everyone, who has helped and signed the firework petition calling for fireworks to be Restrict to licensed displays only at fixed times of the year and to reduce the noise levels of all fireworks to a maximum of 85db. I would also like to thank the newspapers for printing my letters about fireworks and the petition, THANK YOU.
This Restrict Fireworks petition containing 129, 387 signatures was
presented at 10 Downing Street on the 1st Nov 2006 at 2.30pm.
As a result of this petition there was a firework debate in the House of Commons on Monday 6th Nov in the evening.
The out come of this debate was that the under-secretary of state for trade and industry (Jim Fitzpatrick) basically said that they did not feel that the 2003 and 2004 firework laws had been in place long enough to see if they are working.
OH REALLY!
Mr Fitzpatrick are you and the government blind as well as deaf to what is going on or do you not want to know because money is made out of all this suffering?
Take a look at this list

I could go on and on with incidence for this firework season 2006, all I can say is:
if the government can not see that these laws are not working then god help them or is it a case of none as blind as those who do not want to see, we all know if they opened their eyes and saw the truth they would have to do something about it and that might cost them some revenue.
Please write to your local MP's or email them http://www.writetothem.com/
telling them how fireworks are affecting you, your family, friends and your animals, tell them that you want fireworks restricted to licensed displays only and to reduce the noise levels of all fireworks, they need to hear it from you, it will also help back up this petition. We have to keep trying to persuade the government to stop this firework nightmare.
Please would you continue to write to me about any incident and send any newspaper clippings involving fireworks as this helps as evidence
