CHRIST CHURCH TOTS . FRIENDSHIP EVENINGS FRIENDSHIP LUNCHES The Friendship Lunches are held on the second Friday of every month from 12 noon to 1.15 pm. They provide an opportunity to socialise over a generous ploughman's lunch plus homemade soup and jacket potato, tea or coffee with bread pudding or a cookie all for £2.00. This is a pleasant way of getting to know our neighbours in a happy friendly atmosphere. All age groups are welcome. LINK SOCIAL CLUB This club for men and women is held on the first and third Mondays in each month from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm. We have a programme of talks, slides, quizzes, games, playreading etc with an annual cream tea in summer and a Christmas Lunch when we have enjoyed being entertained by the children of a local school. Tea and biscuits are served and there is time to chat with friends or visit displays/stalls (bring and buy) which raises a little money of our funds. It is hoped to arrange outings which will be of interest to members during the year. New friends are very welcome. SOCIAL EVENTS CHOIR The choir meets on Fridays at 8 pm to prepare music for Sunday services and for special occasions. All who enjoy singing are welcome to join. On six evenings during each year elderly and disabled guests from the town of Lewes are invited to the Church premises for entertainment, refreshment and fellowship amongst themselves and with Church members. The entertainment is usually provided by external bodies but regularly includes a carol concert with festive fare supper in December. Church members and others provide transport for 30 to 40 guests between their homes and the Church. |

There is a varied programme of social events throughout the year. They are nearly all of a non religious nature to encourage the church family to invite their own family and friends who do not normally worship at the church or who worship elsewhere. Other organisations using the church are sometimes invited along with neighbours as part of the church's outreach. Most of the events are held at the church premises usually on a Saturday evening. Barbecues in friend's gardens and often a walk are popular in the summer. Food does seem to feature strongly at most events! We try to cater for all ages and new ideas and faces are always welcome |
