Meetings and children's activities Sundays 10.30 to 11.30 am.

A Quaker Meeting for Worship is based on silence and the equality of all present. Out of a 'quiet waiting on God' anyone is free to speak, pray, or read a passage from the Bible or other source of inspiration, and, in so doing, contribute to a 'gathered meeting' in which a deep sense of oneness and harmony becomes a profoundly spiritual experience. Although as Friends we emphasis the teachings of Jesus we are also open to the lessons to be learned from life's experiences and the insights of other faiths. We accept the existence of a universal spiritual life and the overwhelming power of love. We believe in the value of human relationships, of living adventurously, and that life is to be enjoyed.

Quakers have always opposed war as inconsistent with the spirit and teaching of Christ, and we actively seek non-violent solutions to conflict. We do not own the world, and its riches are not ours to dispose of at will. We believe that true peace will only come when all strive for social justice and show a loving consideration for all creatures.
