EASTGATE BAPTIST CHURCH
Eastgate Street, next to Bus Station (opposite Waitrose)

* Eastgate was started in 1784 and has been on this site since 1843.
* Baptist means that we offer people the opportunity to be baptised after making a decision to follow Jesus.
* Church is a local gathering of Christians who worship, pray and learn from the Bible together, supporting each other in practical ways and in
prayer through good times and bad times.
Our Sunday services are held at 10.30 am and 6.30 pm each week. The
worship follows a fairly informal pattern, with a mixture of traditional and
modern songs and hymns and Biblical preaching. The Lord's Supper is
celebrated twice a month. A friendly welcome awaits you.
Eastgate Junior Church meets during the Sunday morning service and there
are Friday clubs for children and teenagers, together with a young
people's orchestra which also accompanies some of our Sunday services.
The Kingfishers group for under-fives and their parents or carers takes
place from 9.30 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during term-time.
Our coffee shop is open every Saturday morning from 10.15 am: why not
join us for coffee and home-made cakes?
