EDUCATIONAL AIMS. To provide a varied and full curriculum including French and Drama from an early age. To cater for the individual needs of pupils in small classes, maximum 16  to a class, using qualified and specialist staff. To educate children by following the National Curriculum guidelines and in particular using groups to encourage teamwork and traditional front facing desks for applying themselves independently to the task.  Computers are used from the nursery onwards. The school day runs from 9.00 a.m. until 3.45 p.m. for seniors and  9.00 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. at the Pre-prep. Later times by arrangement.

HEALTH AND SAFETY. This is a priority. Personal hygiene is part of  the curriculum. Safety rules applying in and out of school are taught. The travel plan must be adhered to.

SCHOOL UNIFORM. The uniform is grey trousers, jumpers, skirts etc. Ties are red and grey stripe. Shirts and blouses are white. Socks, grey.   Blazers and caps/hats are  available. The sports kit is white T-shirt and red shorts. Grey track suits and white trainers. Summer uniform is red/white striped dress, blouse and skirt. Red  swimwear.   Boys may wear grey shorts. All are available from school with the school logo.

SCHOOL LUNCH. Pre-prep dept inc nursery have a packed lunch. Milk or juice will be provided daily at break. Breaks and lunch times are staggered according to age groups.  There are hot dinners served in the Upper School.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS/ CARE.   On all days there are after school clubs. These run for one hour and are free. Arrangements can be made with parents who wish their child to be looked after on a regular basis until 5.30 p.m. The fee would be £2.50 per hour.

MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA.   Music and recorders are part of the school curriculum but private lessons may be arranged. Dance pupils may have ballet, tap or modern dance lessons and enter Brighton and Worthing festivals if they would like. Speech and Drama is part of the curriculum. We have an active Performing Arts Department. Pupils may enter for Brighton and Worthing Drama festivals if they wish, tuition is free. Those wishing to take Drama examinations may have private tuition organised by the school.
