| PREP DEPARTMENT/COLLEGEA broad curriculum is offered to our 7 to 16 year olds. Class sizes are kept very small......a maximum of 16 to a class. The National Curriculum is followed and staff are qualified, caring and experienced. Children are encouraged to respect each others needs and belongings. Discipline is by positive re-enforcement and good teacher/ parent contact. SUBJECTS.
Pupils study Chemistry, Physics, Ecology and Biology, Design and
Technology, R.E, Music, Art, Information Technology, French, Drama, P.E, Dance, History, Geography, as well as the core subjects English and Maths. There
is preparation for Key stage three and G.C.S.E.
Swimming, team sports and tennis are also included .
There is preparation for the school of choice if required and Scholarship
preparation for other Independent schools. Pupils also have the opportunity for the following:
VISITS.
There are several school visits organised for the year and regular school trips abroad.
There are also cross country outings. We welcome discussions with parents concerning the welfare of their
child. At the end of each term parents are invited to see the work related to
the topics around the school. At any other time parents may discuss their
child’s progress with the Head teacher or other member of staff. There are two
reports, one at the end of the Autumn term and one at the end of the Summer
term. Open Evenings take place in November
and July.
