We’re hype-blind. Dazzled and bored, and sincerity is insincere because we’re all selling. The answer is zest. Less is more. Copy that lives, and jumps just a little (you’ve heard it all before) from the page. Energy. That comes from originality. Words that are joined in ways that are very slightly unusual. And I don’t mean pretentious - pretension just pretends. I mean unusual: intelligent. Cut straight to the chase. I take a brief and turn it into efficient text that represents you to your customer without interfering. I create a viable message that is clever because it doesn’t try to be clever, and effective because it blends conciseness with clarity. The words work hard because they work together. The subtext is apparent in the context, the phrases clean, the reader bound to read on because the sentences are fresh.
