If you fancy a bird's eye view of the city, the Glasgow City Tour on an open-topped bus starts from George Square - well worth taking during your stay. If it's culture you're looking for, there are museums, art galleries and historic buildings round every corner. Theatres too abound, with a wide variety of performances throughout the year, from serious theatre to comedy, avant garde to traditional, pantomimes to musicals. Glasgow Film Theatre is not far away, showing a specialist programme of film, TV and video, much of which can not be seen elsewhere. The latest blockbusters are available in mainstream cinemas within the city.
