Glasgow City Flats Terms & Conditions |

Please read the Terms and Conditions below - payment of your deposit implies your acceptance of these.
Note that Glasgow City Flats acts purely as agent for the owner(s) of the apartments as specified on the confirmation sent to you on booking.
- Each apartment is the property of the owner(s) as specified on the confirmation of booking.
- Glasgow City Flats acts as the agent for the owner(s) and is authorised by them to accept bookings for the property on their behalf. The contract in respect of the let rests between the lessee and the owner(s) of the property.
- It is let to individuals under the following terms and conditions.
- On payment of a sum to be agreed with Glasgow City Flats prior to commencement of the rental period, such sum(s) being subject to variation at the sole discretion of Glasgow City Flats. A deposit of £50 shall be paid at the time of booking, the remainder to be paid not later than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. Payment may be made by personal cheque (in UK pounds only); credit/debit card; Paypal; or bank transfer.
- The deposit should be paid within 10 days of booking, after which time the right is reserved by Glasgow City Flats to cancel the booking and re-allocate the apartment.
- If the booking is made within the 14 day period, full payment must be made by Paypal, credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash at the time of commencement of the rental period.
- The apartment shall be occupied only by the number of occupants shown on the booking confirmation. If you wish to add extra persons after booking, assuming there is extra capacity in your chosen apartment, you must contact Glasgow City Flats to arrange this. You may be requested an additional payment if the original booking was agreed at a discount rate. Glasgow City Flats reserves the right to charge additional fees should extra persons stay in the apartment outwith the persons specified on the booking form and agreed with beforehand with Glasgow City Flats, such fees being at the sole discretion of Glasgow City Flats. These fees will be payable within 28 days.
- Please note, as the apartments are in residential blocks, parties are not allowed.
- If any damage is caused, or if excessive cleaning is required, or keys are lost, cost of reparation will be charged to the customer(s) at the end of the rental period and at the sole discretion of Glasgow City Flats.
- Glasgow City Flats reserves the right to charge a damage deposit of £100 at their discretion, such sum which may be retained in whole or part where damage is caused or excessive cleaning is required.
- The apartment should be locked at the end of the stay, the keys placed in the envelope provided and deposited as indicated on booking confirmation.
- Tea, coffee and sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar, basic cleaning materials and toiletries are provided for convenience.
- Linen, towels etc. are provided free of charge.
- Optional daily cleaning service available on request at an additional cost of £11.75 per day (including VAT).
- In the apartments where wireless broadband connection is provided free of charge it should be noted that the connection may not be encrypted. It should therefore be regarded as insecure and guests are advised not to send sensitive, private information over the internet. Use of this connection is the sole responsibility of the guests and neither the owner(s) nor Glasgow City Flats can be held responsible for any losses, or damage accruing therefrom, nor can they be held responsible for the internet content viewed by guests.
- A copy of the inventory of all items in the apartment is available. All losses will be the subject of legal action to recover the item(s) and/or compensation sought for their loss.
- Access to the apartment by Glasgow City Flats or the owner(s) will be granted at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection and repair or maintenance of the apartment and fittings.
- The rental period will normally commence at 4pm on the day of entry. It will end at 11am on the morning of the last day of the rental period. Guests must vacate the apartment by that time to allow cleaning prior to the arrival of the next guests.
- All electricity and/or gas consumption is included in the rental cost.
- The maximum number of guests is as specified on booking confirmation. Where a baby is accepted, cot and highchair are available to hire on request. Guests should provide their own bedding for the cot.
- It should be understood when renting these apartments that neither Glasgow City Flats nor the owner(s) have control over nor responsibility for noise or nuisance caused by the occupiers of other apartments within the building(s).
- No animals are allowed in the apartments.
- No smoking is allowed in the apartments.
- Neither the owner(s) nor Glasgow City Flats can be held responsible for the occasional non-availability or non-functioning of shared services within the apartment building(s).
- Public liability insurance exists in respect of the apartments.
- Where a parking space is provided, use of the car park is at the risk of the driver. Neither Glasgow City Flats Ltd, nor the owner(s) of the apartment and allocated car parking space can he held responsible for any damage caused by the use of the space.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation by the lessee:
- If made in writing no less than 14 days prior to the commencement of the period of the rental, refund shall be in full minus any fees or administrative costs.
- If made in writing or by telephone call or in person within the 14 day period prior to the commencement of the period of the rental, refund may be in full or part thereof at the sole discretion of Glasgow City Flats.
- If the lessee fails to cancel the rental and fails to take up the rental of any property managed by Glasgow City Flats, the sums received by Glasgow City Flats may be retained in full.
