Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions - payment of your deposit implies your acceptance of these.

  1. The apartment is the property of Nicola Taylor, Flat 3/1, 54 Hughenden Lane, Glasgow, G12 9XJ.
  2. It is let to individuals under the following terms and conditions.
  3. On payment of a sum to be agreed prior to commencement of the rental period, a deposit of £50 rental shall be paid at the time of booking, the remainder to be paid not later than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. Payment may be made by personal cheque (in UK pounds only); Paypal; credit/debit card (via Paypal website) or bank transfer.
  4. The deposit should be paid within 10 days of booking, after which time the right is reserved to cancel the booking and re-allocate the apartment.
  5. The apartment shall be occupied only by the number of occupants shown on the booking form. If you wish to add extra persons after booking, assuming there is extra capacity in your chosen apartment, you must contact Nicola Taylor to arrange this. You may be requested an additional payment if the original booking was agreed at a discount rate.
  6. Proof of identity and address should be shown to the person meeting you at the apartment.
  7. Please note, as the apartment is in a residential block parties are not allowed.
  8. We are very strict on the good behaviour of guests while they are in the flat. If nuisance or undue noise is caused, eviction could result.
  9. If any damage is caused, or if excessive cleaning is required, or keys are lost, cost of reparation will be charged to the customer(s) at the end of the rental period.
  10. Nicola Taylor reserves the right to charge a damage deposit of £100 or more at her discretion, such sum which may be retained in whole or part where damage is caused or excessive cleaning is required.
  11. The apartment should be locked at the end of the stay, the keys placed in the envelope provided and posted back into the apartment through the letterflap in the door.
  12. Tea, coffee and sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar, basic cleaning materials and toiletries are provided for convenience.
  13. Linen, towels etc. are provided free of charge.
  14. Wireless broadband connection is provided free of charge. Use of this connection is the sole responsibility of the guests and Nicola Taylor cannot be held responsible for any losses, or damage accruing therefrom, nor can she be held responsible for the internet content viewed by guests.
  15. A copy of the inventory of all items in the apartment is available. All losses will be the subject of legal action to recover the item(s) and/or compensation sought for their loss.
  16. Access to the apartment by the owner or her agents will be granted at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection and repair or maintenance of the apartment and fittings.
  17. The rental period will normally commence at 4pm on the day of entry. It will end at 11am on the morning of the last day of the rental period. Guests must vacate the apartment by that time to allow cleaning prior to the arrival of the next guests
  18. All electricity consumption is included in the rental cost.
  19. The maximum number of guests is two.
  20. It should be understood when renting this apartment that the owner has no control over nor responsibility for noise or nuisance caused by the occupiers of other apartments within the building.
  21. No animals are allowed in the apartment and we cannot take babies.
  22. This is a NON-SMOKING apartment.
  23. Nicola Taylor cannot be held responsible for the occasional non-availability or non-functioning of shared services within the apartment building, e.g. the lift.
  24. Cancellation Policy
    In the event of cancellation by the lessee:

    1. If made in writing no less than 14 days prior to the commencement of the period of the rental, refund shall be in full minus any fees or administrative costs.
    2. If made in writing or by telephone call or in person within the 14 day period prior to the commencement of the period of the rental, refund may be in full or part thereof at the sole discretion of Nicola Taylor.
    3. If the lessee fails to cancel the rental and fails to take up the rental of the apartment, the sums received may be retained in full.
