Luxury one bedroom apartment in A-listed Victorian building, formally the General Post Office city headquarters, on the edge of the magnificent George Square at the heart of Glasgow city centre.

Available for a minimum of 2 months

ACCOMMODATION
This is a modern, converted apartment on the fourth floor of the historic GPO Building. Available for mid-term lets only, this is an ideal central base for business people or others staying in Glasgow for a minimum of two months.

It has secure entry and a lift. The Reception is manned by a concierge who is on duty daily.

There is a residents' gym within the building to which access can be arranged.

It has everything needed for a comfortable longer stay for two people. There is a lounge with dining area, opening to a fully-fitted kitchen; a double bedroom and a bathroom.

The lounge has leather sofas and a flat screen TV with DVD/CD player. A selection of DVDs and CDs and books is provided.

The glass-topped dining table seats up to four on leather covered chairs. The table doubles as a desk, which together with free wireless broadband access, is ideal for the business person.

The fitted kitchen has electric cooker and gas hob, integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and separate microwave. It is fully-equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and everything else you will need.

In addition, the apartment has all the essentials, including an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials. There is gas central heating throughout.

The contemporary styling of the main room contrasts with the more country-style double bedroom, complete with king-size pine four-poster bed with matching dressing table and a built-in wardrobe.

The bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle, with a stylish modern washstand. There is a heated towel rail and shaver point and on-demand hot water.

All electricity and gas costs are included in the rental.

All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided free of charge and changed regularly during your stay.

You will find supplies of the following: Coffee, tea bags, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, dishwasher tablets and other cleaning fluids; toilet rolls, kitchen paper and bin liners; soap, shower gel, shampoo; bed linen, towels, tea towels, oven glove.

LOCATION

This is Glasgow at its most vibrant and cultured. Sophisticated shops, restaurants, bars and clubs mingle with grand architecture and art collections. Fashion jostles with big business here and the coolest of Glasgow folk can be found whiling away days and nights with coffee or whisky (or both) in hand, within strolling distance of the flat, at a pavement café or in a glitzy bar.

The GPO building itself is just one of many magnificent buildings which have been lovingly restored in recent years, and are now home to the most sophisticated and up-market shops, restaurants, clubs and bars.

The delights of the UK's second largest shopping centre can't fail but draw you into the main shopping centre of Buchanan Street, Argyle Street and St Enoch's Shopping Centre, for more than a touch of retail therapy.

If you fancy a bird's eye view of the city, the Glasgow City Tour on an open-topped bus starts from George Square - well worth taking during your stay.

If it's culture you're looking for, there are museums, art galleries and historic buildings round every corner. Theatres too abound, with a wide variety of performances throughout the year, from serious theatre to comedy, avant garde to traditional, pantomimes to musicals. Glasgow Film Theatre is not far away, showing a specialist programme of film, TV and video, much of which can not be seen elsewhere. The latest blockbusters are available in mainstream cinemas within the city.
