HEMINGBROUGH UNITED    4     0       HEWORTH

An excellent display by an injury hit Herningbrough side produced a convincing victory to maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign. It took 21 mins before the Brough started to take control of the game and a further 10 minutes before the first goat arrived. Richard Collins deftly flicked a Richad Ireland corner on at the floor post to open the scoring. Five minutes before the break the lead was doubled when the versatile Harry Jackson playing in a rare forward role finished a five-man move by lobbing the keeper from 10 yards out. The match and the points were virtually wrapped up early into the second half when a Shipley cross was collected by Richard Singh who went on a trademark run at the opposition before planting the ball in the corner of the net The scoring was then completed 15 mins from the whistle when the impressive Matty Zacharenko rose majestically above the Heworth defence to head home his first goal of the season and Hemingbrough's fourth of the day. The visitors did create some chances but found Hemingbrough’s keeper Nick Brown in exquisite form producing three excellent saves to help earn Hemingbrough their first clean sheet of the season.

The Crown Inn Man of the Match went to Chris Caudwell.
