LNER Builders         1    1    Hemingbrough

Bouncebackability Brough displayed all their excellent team spirit and patience as they equalised with virtually the last kick of the genie to take a point which moved them into third place in the league table.

The game was controlled by both midfields and defences thus goal scoring chances were down to an absolute premium though when Caudwell was upended in the box Heminghrough believed that they had a clear penalty but the Referee didn't share the same opinion.

On the half hour The Builders took the lead, a hopeful punt up field bounced over theHemingbough defenders and Andy Sykes lobbed keeper Nick Brown from 16 vds out.

In the second half the Brough controlled both possession and territory and the hard working Tomlinson helped his forwards to push forward but despite a number of corners Hemingbrough still failed to find a way through. In the final ten minutes Dave Young was pushed forward to bolster the attack and it almost paid instant dividends when he met a Singh cross but his header was brillianty saved by the home keeper. With the game in it's final minute Hemingbrough won yet another corner but this time Smith headed the ball towards Kierran Morris at the back post and he hammered the ball home for a deserved equaliser.

John Smiths Sunday League Division 2

Hemingbrough    1           6   Nestle Flag

The Sunday side put in their most disappointing performance or the season and probably for a couple of seasons as they were well beaten by Nestle Flag 6 - 1. Nobby Taylor hit the Hemingbrough goal in what was a well below par performance.
