VILLAGE INFORMATION


The parish contains a number of scattered settlements of which the largest are the part of Bressingham located on High Road, and Bressingham Common located along Common Road. Both settlement are mainly linear in form, and are separated and surrounded by mainly large open fields. The settlement along High Road comprises much bungalow development, several old buildings of note, two farms and most of the parish community facilities.

Bressingham Common contains a greater mixture of housing types, three farms and an engineering works, and includes some development along Bressingham Road which is located in the parish of Roydon . Both settlements are distinguished by many trees and hedgerows contributing greatly to their rural character, and are afforded views across theWaveney Valley by the downward sloping land to the south.

Social and Community Facilities
The village contains a range of facilities situated in the vicinity of High Road. The village is also sewered to the treatment works at Diss where some spare capacity is available.

Communications
Bressingham has a direct access to Diss via Snow Street and the C339. Fersfield and the west of the parish have access to the north and south via Wood Lane and Stone Lane, and The Street respectively (all the C206). The remainder of the parish is served by a network of unclassified minor roads which includes a direct link from Bressingham to the A1066 which crosses the southern half of the parish.
