4. PLAYING FIELDS FOOTPATH

The photo was taken from the gate to the footpath to Common Road.

This path, part of Parish Walk No. 3 , runs north from High Road, next to the last bungalow on the way from the Shop, before the Manor House.
** You have to be reasonably fit to travel the first part of the path, due to the stile and gates **
The path starts through a narrow alley, and turns half right over a stile, into a grass field. On one visit, but not my last, the field had horses in it, and you have to negotiate an electric fence to get to the far corner. Then over a gate into another field with the option of bearing right, over another gate to a path down to Common Road coming out by the 'Old White Horse', a private house, or half left, over a stile, to a path that runs parallel to Common Road. This path then can lead west to Folly Lane , or east, with two stiles to Common Road
