We ( a group of about a dozen canoeist of various abilities and aged between 16 and 60 ) are usually having our canoeing sessions of about 3 hours at Walberswick Beach, which we reach by turning right out of Southwold harbour.
We are enthusiastic, skilled and experienced but not very well qualified and we have an informal appoach to our canoeing.
We are not an official BCU affiliated club, but most of our members are also BCU member and here we got some Links to BCU and other canoeing sites that might be useful. If you like to be added, please e-mail us with your URL.
Our Boat/Club house/hut is situated near the mouth of the harbour.
In the Summertime we have sessions at 6PM on every Wednesday, but we canoe every Sundaymorning from 9.30AM
be it rain or shine throughout the year. Yes!, also December, January, February etc.
We organize club trips to white water rivers throughout the UK, we organize various races on the river Blyth (tidal), we surf all over the British coastline.
