		The Maine Coon cat is a very special breed of semi long haired cat which originated in the north Eastern States of the U.S.A. It is one of the oldest breeds of cat and the first cat shows in America were mainly for the purpose of showing off these large, ruggedly handsome cats with wonderful temperaments.
