Oakley produces 'Forgotten Farming' - an historical account of Farming history, by local Somerset author Brian Tustian. Set in the period from 1930 to 1950, Brian describes his childhood in Turweston Village, Bucks, and describes the changes in Farming methods, and in the countryside community at large during this time of war. It details the changes that took place in farming practices and in village life which dramatically changed the countryside for ever, with the advent of mechanisation and the loss of the old farming ways.
