The Home Page of Ofcom , the government appointed "watchdog" of the UK Telecommunications Industry. This site contains loads of information about telephone operating companies, the Specified Numbering Scheme, charging rates, consultation papers, and other regulatory matters.
A really useful page on the Ofcom site is the Telecoms Pages which has extensive information about UK codes and UK Telecoms companies.
British Telecom home page, with details of their various services, and their UK and International Code locator.
Warwick University maintains another excellent site with more accessible copies of much of the Ofcom and older Oftel material, an on-line UK Telephone Code Locator and a large number of links to other telecom sites.
Another site is useful for International Dialling Codes.
