HF Band activity report by Barry Crook G4AZN

`
After the disappointment of the ill fated expedition to TX5C Clipperton Island there is another !Big One! coming up shortly. TX5C suffered with heavy thunderstorms and 50MPH winds along with high QRN and has finished prematurely today. I did not work them after putting in a lot of effort, their signals were never anywhere like as strong as VP6DX on any band.

The next DXpedition is 9X0R from Rwanda from the 16th till the 27th March. A sizeable group of European operators are hoping to run up to three stations simultaneously, details of the frequencies are on the 425DX news issue 879. This is a 'must' publication for any serious Dxer. It's free and comes each weekend via email.

Good hunting,

Barry, G4AZN.
