Olwen Cox has over ten years operational experience gained at CIMAH registered sites. Her work has included the preparation of Safety Reports for submission to the UK Health and Safety Executive, chairing of Hazop studies and providing safety advice to plant management. Peter Speller has over ten years experience of safety in the batch fine organics industry and has particular expertise in assessment of chemical reaction hazards, including sizing of relief systems based on the analysis of thermochemical and dust explosion data. He is currently serving on the editorial panel of the Loss Prevention Bulletin, published by the IChemE. Dr John Cox is a Registered Safety Professional of the (UK) Institution of Chemical Engineers and was the main witness for Nypro (UK) Ltd. at the Public Inquiry into the 1974 Flixborough explosion. Similar investigations have been conducted for other clients following incidents during plant operation. John has published several papers on safety and loss prevention, three of which are reproduced on this website. |
