Maud Hatfield, daughter and heress of John Hatfield, Esq., of Hatfield, in Holderness. She died 1560, 5 Queen Elizabeth I.(date query)

2. Christopher Constable, married Andrie Quenhill and had a son John.

3. William or Richard Constable.

4. Margaret Constable , married in 1503, to Richard Creyke, Esq., of Marton.

5. Elizabeth or Joyce Constable, married to Christopher Mayne.

6. Eleanor Constable, married:

1st, John Thornholme of Haysthorpe, Esq.,

2nd, Roger Sotheby of Pocklington and Burnholme, left a Will, and died before 9 Dec 1546, maternally part of the Hawcliffe family. he was the son of John Sotheby, of Pocklington, by Jane daughter of Sir William Hawcliffe.  Their daugher Margaret married William Hungate of Saxton and left issue.

Married Anne or Elizabeth daughter of Walter or Thomas Grimston of Grimston.

HILLARY CONSTABLE, OF HATFIELD, found heir to his grandmother, and aged 28 years at her death, married . He was buried at Sigglesthorne, 22 November, 1571.

Married: Margaret, dau of Stephen Constable of Catfoss. She was buried there 20 March 1568/9.

Issue:

1. John Constable, aged 17 at his father's death, married Ursula daughter of Robt. Wright, of Plowland, and died s.p.

CHRISTOPHER CONSTABLE, of Hatfield.

Married:

Rosamond Portington, daughter of John Portington, of Portington, co., York, and Sawcliff, co. Lincoln.

Issue:

1. CHRISTOPHER CONSTABLE OF HATFIELD

2. Robert Constable, buried at St Mary's Beverley, 5 May 1591.

3. Anne Constable, baptised at St John's Beverley, 4 Mar 1582/3.

 

CHRISTOPHER CONSTABLE OF HATFIELD, living 1612, He died 31 December 1642.

Married at St Mary's Beverley, 11 June 1612,

Frances Hildyard, daughter of Richard, and sister of Christopher Hildyard, of Winestead, and widow of Ralph More of Bewick. She was buried at Routh 20 October, 1639.

Issue:

1. Jane Constable, married to John Lister, son and heir of Sir John Lister, Knt., by whom she had a son John Lister, of Linton, co. York.

Issue:

1. Elizabeth Lister, married to Robert Sotheby. Her heir is Lord Middleton of Birdsall Hall.

2. Frances Lister.

3. Dorothy Lister.

4. John Lister of Linton.
