A TRIP AROUND THE LAKE
Heading north towards Ambleside
The Luzzu's bows cut through the calm waters of the largest lake in England.
One of the vintage steamers reflected under the mountains passes by the boathouse
When the water is high it is possible to sail down the river at the southern end of the lake. The views are quite stunning
The lakeside steam train passes along side
the river bank, and many passengers wave cheerfully to those sitting in the brightly
coloured fishing boat.
On the river
The 'Teal' on her way home
Approaching Newby Bridge and the Swan Hotel, the furthest point the Luzzu can go. The river is not navigable beyond the bridge.
Night falls on St Joseph
Windermere from the Beech Hill
The lake shines silver in the evening sun
