Introduction

The coldest, driest, most inhospitable place on earth.

Antarctica, considerably larger than europe, twice the size of the USA is 99% covered in ice, the rest being exposed rock. Since its discovery in 1820 by Fabien Bellingshausen (probably?) many have tried to conquerer and exploit the continent and boy has it fought back. From sealers to whalers, South Pole dashes to trans-Antarctic expeditions, many have attempted to take on this beautiful but very powerful place, a few won, many failed.

I have been lucky enough to visit this awe-inspiring place. This website is a catalogue of the information, pictures and fantastic memories I have from my visit - I hope to return soon.

I hope you find the pictures beautiful and the information useful.

Enjoy...
