Clinics and Services
The partners look after patients from all parts of Hartlepool, except the Headland. We include Elwick, Dalton
Piercy, Greatham and Newton Bewley.
The doctors provide maternity, contraceptive and child health
services. Dr Mc Gowan does minor surgery.
The Practice has two Practice Nurses who performs smears, conducts
the Well Person, Asthma, Diabetes and Cardiovascular Clinics, administers
vaccinations and takes bloods. We also have a Phlebotomist who takes bloods.
There are attached District Nurses and
Health Visitors. There are also a
Counsellor and Mental Health Specialist
Nurses attached to the
Practice.
The Practice also consists of a Practice Manager, a Computer
Administrator, a Practice Secretary, Senior
Assistant, seven assistants and a Practice Cleaner.

Clinic
Check-ups and injections are done here.
Our Practice Nurse and a Doctor will always be there for any questions you may
have.
Ante-natal
Clinic
We
care for you from the start of your pregnancy until after your baby is born.
Eight weeks after the birth you will receive a letter and an appointment for
your postnatal
check.
Family Planning
Services
This
is run by the Doctors and the Practice Nurse. Depo-Provera injections are also
part of this
service.
Child
Health & Immunisation
Clinics
We
feel it is very important for all children to be fully immunised. We will write
to you when your child's injection is
due.
Well
Person
Clinic
This
is a chance for you to have a full health check with advice on breast and
testicle self-examinations. Holiday and
tetanus injections, smears and advice on a healthy lifestyle are also available.
Minor
Surgery
Clinic
Your
Doctor may refer you to this clinic for freezing of warts and certain types of
injections are also
given.
Cardiovascular
Clinic
This
clinic consists of regular check-ups for people with high blood pressure, heart
disease, strokes as well as offering Cholesterol
testing.
Holiday
Immunisations
Please ask the Practice Nurse for details
regarding holiday vaccinations. Not all holiday destinations require
vaccinations.
Asthma
and COPD Clinic
This
clinic consists of check-ups for all asthmatic patients and patients with
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as well as testing people who may have lung
disease.. There is
also an opportunity to learn more about looking after your chest.
Diabetic
Clinic
Care
for all diabetics patients including treatment and advice is offered within this
clinic.
