
Peter White (violin) started learning at the age of seven, after having played the piano for a couple of years.

During his time at Hereford Cathedral School, he had frequent opportunities to play solo, chamber and orchestral music. He was leader of the Herefordshire Youth Orchestra, and also played with the English Symphony Orchestra Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. As a soloist, he frequently appeared on BBC local radio. With the NYOW Ensemble, under the direction of Owain Arwel Hughes, he performed Walton's Sonata for String Orchestra for Lady Walton, inaugurating a new amphitheatre at her estate on the Italian island of Ischia.
Peter, who comes from Abergavenny in South Wales, graduated from Durham University in Civil Engineering in 2006. During his time at Durham he lead Durham University Symphony Orchestra for two years and also conducted St. John's College Orchestra. He joined the Palatinate Ensemble in 2003. Peter is now working for an engineering firm in Newcastle.
